(May 2012) Military assault demonstrations at the ISOF 2012 conference in Tampa bay, Florida. The participating SOF teams came from 10 allied nations: Australia, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Jordan, Norway, Poland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and included American SEALs, Green Berets, Air Force Combat Controllers, and US Marines. This year ISOF’s theme is “Building the Global SOF Partnership.” This is composed of mutually supporting partners working to identify and preemptively address problems, and helping to defeat the appeal of violent extremism.

 

 

 

New Law Proposed in MO: Criminalize the Failure to Notify Schools of Your Private Business

“A Missouri lawmaker has proposed legislation that would require parents to notify their children’s school if they own a firearm.”

This irks the living crap out of me. Set aside the standard gun-issue arguments of whether or not we should own guns, how many or of what caliber and consider the concept underneath all of that…this law (or others like it) could be expanded…report to the school if you have medicines, objectionable books, cleaning products…think about it.

A 2nd point to consider…who is going to PAY for this?? Literally…where is the money going to come from to enforce this right now?

Who is going to go door-to-door and search the home of every child enrolled in MO schools? By what authority??? With – or without – search warrants and the all-too-common use of SWAT teams?

Excerpt – “The bill, introduced by Missouri Democratic State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, would make it a crime to fail to report gun ownership to a school and to store a firearm in a place where a child could possibly access it. The legislation also criminalizes failure to prevent illegal possession of a firearm by a child under the age of 18.

“This act requires a parent or guardian to notify a school district, or the governing body of a private or charter school, that he or she owns a firearm within 30 days of enrolling the child in school or becoming the owner of a firearm,” the bill reads in part. “The written notification only needs to include the names of the parent and any child attending the school and the fact that the parent owns a firearm…

…Failure to report a firearm to a child’s school would result in a fine of up to $100 or $1,000 if the parent is also found guilty of “negligent storage of a firearm,” in addition to any other required punishments.”

A Death Sentence…For The Marijuana That Wasn’t There

This story happened over a year ago but I decided to post it in order to highlight (again!) the dismal failure the ‘War On Drugs’ has been – as well as the dangers of law enforcement continuing to use SWAT teams to raid the homes of US citizens.  What happened to that pesky notion about people being INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty? Apparently it has been swept aside as government agencies get more and more federal funding to use on gadgets, gear & guns.

The mere suspicion that a natural plant might be in a home has now become justifiable cause for gunning down citizens and little thought is given to whether or not there might be children, pets…or innocent civilians taken out in the process. To call these *mistakes* anything less than what they are…cold blooded murder…is just a slap in the face to all of the victims and their families.

On May 19, 2011   Former Marine, Jose Guerena,  age 26, was killed  murdered in his Tucson home during a drug  pointless raid. Officers pounded him with 71 rounds as they burst through the door of his home. No drugs were ever found. His family helplessly watched as their loved one was shot to death by over-zealous, over-armed and UNDER trained officers…

The Fuck-It Point; When Is Enough…Enough?

The video below is a short and very powerful film about the darker side of life inside that which we call ‘civilization’. I wonder how we can consider ourselves civilized when our lives are so permeated with death, violence & destruction? Is it civilized to stomp out any and all life forms that happen to either provide something we need or stand in the way of the things we want?

Are we truly enlightened beings if we are willing to obliterate any culture or way of life that is not the same as ours? I don’t think we really are. We say we have ‘advanced’ as a species but is this REALLY true? Would beings who have truly advanced be willing to live inside a bubble that enslaves them? Enslaves others?

Most importantly, would advanced and knowledgeable beings continue to build, live inside of and participate in a system that guarantees their own destruction and the destruction of their entire life support? Doesn’t it seem odd that this is exactly what we do? We act more like spoiled children – taking, taking, taking and throwing temper tantrums & lashing out at anyone who dares to take our toys – than any kind of being with enlightened or advanced way of thinking/acting. What are we going to do when we’ve not only broken all of the ‘toys’ but completely obliterated the toy factory as well?

While I don’t believe in climate change the way it is being sold to us right now, to deny that we are not doing irrevocable damage to every part of this earth is both naive and dangerous. Just as we cannot cure our diseases with medicines that cause even more illness and disease, we cannot continue to mend the damage of technology and machines by creating still more machines and technology.  Spraying pollutants into the sky which interfere with our weather patterns in the name of saving us from ‘climate change’ (re: changing weather patterns) is insanity, pure and simple. And yet, that is exactly what we do…

So when will enough be enough?

 Would you defend your children from harm? If so, then isn’t preventing them from living on a destroyed and desolate planet filled with hunger and hardship, defending them from harm?

What lengths would you be willing to go to in order to preserve ALL life and leave it intact for future generations?

Three Officers To Be Fired Over Kelly Thomas Beating & Death

Seeing as how it has taken over a year for this decision to be made, isn’t it only right that the officers to return the pay they have accepted since the night of the beating – the night of their original guilt? Why should they benefit from another year on the police force after using their power to  abuse and kill an innocent man? Scary to think they have been allowed to remain in such powers of position for so long but I’m sure the investigation of actions that were clearly seen on the first viewing of the video tape take time…right? It just wouldn’t have been right to assume that the officers plainly visible on tape while they beat a man to death were actually…uh…beating a man to death! At least there is some measure of justice being served here – even if it is over 300 days late and several paychecks short.

Cpl. Jay Cicinelli and Officers Manuel Anthony Ramos and Joe Wolfe of the Fullerton Police Department all received letters this week from their superiors explaining the force’s intent to terminate their roles. They have ten days to respond with an appeal or else their titles will be revoked.

Both Ramos and Cicinelli are currently awaiting trial over the May 2011 death of Thomas, 37, a known schizophrenic and son of Fullerton’s former police captain. Wolfe has been linked to the assault but has not formally been charged in the crime.”  Full Story on RT

How To Harass A Senior Citizen in Austin

Either I am in a really funky mood this week or else…or else this country (meh, probably the world) has just gone insane in more ways than my poor brain can begin to comprehend. If we aren’t beating innocent, young, mentally ill men to death, we’re holding 70 year old men at gunpoint…seriously, America?? What in the HELL is wrong with people? I understand officers have a job to do but don’t any of them have enough conscience anymore to say, “No, this is enough. I will not obey orders to harass/beat/spray or taze my fellow citizens who have done nothing wrong…” ? 

Austin PD didn’t beat this man to death in the literal sense but after waking him, tricking him, ambushing him, filling his basement with tons of cement, billing him for it AND seizing his property, it’s a small miracle the poor man hasn’t keeled over from the stress of it all!

From Off The Grid Survival – Early one Saturday morning, 70-year old retired Air Force reservist and former state employee Joe Del Rio was awoken by a knock on his front door. It was the city of Austin’s local code enforcement team. One of the agents told Mr. Del Rio that he needed to speak to him right away.

After getting dressed Mr. Del Rio went and opened his front door. He was immediately bum rushed by the Austin Police Department’s SWAT Team and then detained and interrogated for over 10 hours.

What was this 70-year old mans crime?

The bunker in question was previously built as a bomb shelter during the cold war. Mr Del Rio had recently renovated part of the old fall out shelter and had been using it as a makeshift workshop…

Babeu Is Right About Our Southern Border, Mr. President

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu has sent a powerful and pointed editorial to major newspapers across the country calling out President Obama on his ‘lighthearted’-but-nasty-toned comments about people wanting alligators and moats along the border. Babeu pulls no punches in pointing out the gaping holes in our Southern border and the safety risk they pose. Kudos to Sheriff Babeu for standing up and speaking out against our President’s arrogant and callous remarks regarding those of us who wish to see a solidly defended borderland.

It isn’t about hatred, or racism; it’s not about giving or denying amnesty or any of the other false flags being hurled around by media outlets – residents here have dealt with the dangerous elements from Mexico for years and we’re tired of it.

It’s about danger; about the protection of US citizens living on the edge of a war zone while being denied the right to protect themselves on a local and state level – and while being denied any help or protection from the very same folks who deny them their right to defend themselves in absence of Federal protection. It’s a destructive circular pattern being held in place by force of a federal government that blatantly oversteps it’s Constitutional authority.

We have been forced to watch helplessly as US Roads like Piasano in El Paso, TX are posted with signs warning people to take different routes due to bandits robbing drivers blind in broad daylight…and this was long before 9-11. The village of Columbus, NM may as well be declared a war-zone as it is completely unsafe and uninhabitable by all but a few souls still left standing. Where is the federal government? Why has there been no protection for US Citizens living legally in a US town overrun by druglords?

There are a multitude of dangers we face by leaving our border so shamefully unprotected and the federal government has for years blatantly shunned its duty to protect Americans. We are in dire need of more men like Babeu who are willing to stand up and speak out on behalf of ‘We The People’ and who will even stand against the POTUS as he not only mocks Americans, but attempts to outright lie about the status of our Southern border. Keep up the good work, Mr. Babeu; you have the support of residents well beyond the border of Arizona who appreciate your courage and candor.

Over the last 25 years, America has seen a disturbing militarization of its civilian law enforcement, along with a dramatic and unsettling rise in the use of paramilitary police units (most commonly called Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT) for routine police work. The most common use of SWAT teams today is to serve narcotics warrants, usually with forced, unannounced entry into the home.

These increasingly frequent raids, 40,000 per year by one estimate, are needlessly subjecting nonviolent drug offenders, bystanders, and wrongly targeted civilians to the terror of having their homes invaded while they’re sleeping, usually by teams of heavily armed paramilitary units dressed not as police officers but as soldiers. These raids bring unnecessary violence and provocation to nonviolent drug offenders, many of whom were guilty of only misdemeanors. The raids terrorize innocents when police mistakenly target the wrong residence. And they have resulted in dozens of needless deaths and injuries, not only of drug offenders, but also of police officers, children, bystanders, and innocent suspects.

Screening of ‘Busted’ Educates Students On Interactions With Law Enforcement

Students for Sensible Drug Policy hosted a screening of the film “Busted” Monday night in the EMU Multicultural Center in an effort to educate students about their legal rights during encounters with law enforcement.

“It was put together by a group called Flex Your Rights, which is a side arm of the (American Civil Liberties Union),” SSDP President Sam Chapman said. “It was put together to show to students to inform them about their rights.”

The film was narrated by Ira Glasser, former executive director of the ACLU. Glasser explained such techniques as responding to questions with questions and the importance of the phrase, “I don’t consent to any searches.” These techniques, Glasser said, are helpful to avoid getting caught up in what he called “gotcha games,” where law enforcement officers try to get suspects to confess or waive their rights. Following the film were a number of informational videos on SSDP’s mission and history.

“It just helps inform people about their rights for all different kinds of scenarios,” Chapman said. “As far as young people encountering police, most people get really nervous.”

Standing Up For The Bill Of Rights Is The MOST Patriotic Thing That You Can Do

“Standing up for our rights, YOUR rights, the ones provided to us all in the Bill Of Rights is becoming an increasingly difficult thing to do in the United States of America. Presidential administrations have continually assaulted the Bill Of Rights in recent years; and never was this more apparent than in the George W. Bush “patriot act.” The situation, and total disregard of the principles that the United States of America were founded on became even more clear when the criminal organization known as the Missouri Information Analysis Centre even went so far as to claim that “domestic terrorists” were more likely to be persons who have Bill of Rights, and United States Constitution bumper stickers on their vehicles. Of course the grand irony here is that an organization that would promote such a bogus idea is itself a domestic terrorist organization; and police officers who pull over and harass passers-by on the free-ways for such bumper stickers are themselves domestic terrorist, as they freely and openly scorn the principles upon which this once great nation was founded.

Police officers in the United States of America have become increasingly militaristic in latter years, and much more resemble Nazi Gestapo than they do anything that would deserve the honour of being called a “peace officer,” and American police seem to systemically encourage and encroach upon the Fourth Amendment of the Bill Of Rights, as if they’d never even heard of it, and I’m willing to bet that many of them haven’t. Surely they covered the violation of the fourth Amendment, and how to do it, in police training, there’s really no other way to go about explaining the systemic failures of modern police to honour the Fourth Amendment to the Bill Of Rights that I can think of.

“Well, if you have nothing to hide then you don’t have anything to worry about.”

Such a lie, and most every officer of the law in modern police state America is determined to find some reason to violate your Fourth Amendment rights, and if you get the line of bullshit up above, you’re lucky indeed to have the chance to say simply,

“Get A Warrant.”

Many people lead fear filled lives, and fear is very unhealthy for the mind and the body both. Many of us substitute a great deal of our social lives for online socializing, foregoing the more natural form of human interaction…

…The problem with online socializing is no different than the problems that sometimes ocurr with natural socializing; people who seem good and friendly people sometimes are neither. The online world is full of projected personalities that seldom match the person behind the avatar; and this could make “preacher Dave” appear to be a wonderful person, and the reality is that he’s a predator. So very often I have women come to me, and say, “so and so is freaking me out! help!” I’m usually many states away from those persons, and all that I can give is advice. What worries me more than someone being frightened by someone is the person that is vulnerable, and doesn’t even know it. You can’t teach the unteachable, but for willing ears I have some proactive solutions and ideas that I’d like to offer…”
