Kelp off California was contaminated with short-lived radioisotopes a month after Japan’s Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant accident, a sign that the spilled radiation reached the state’s coastline, according to a new scientific study.
Scientists from CSU Long Beach tested giant kelp collected off Orange County, Santa Cruz and other locations after the March 2011 accident and detected radioactive iodine, which was released from the damaged nuclear reactor.

Don’t be silly…of course it’s not a problem…there is nothing to worry about, it was all just a bad dream and if you roll over and pretend it never happened everything will be absolutely fine….;) Turn a nice big blind eye and pop over to Fukushima for a nice suntan… on the other hand people could try taking a reality check…but we mustn’t get too excited and start believing they might actually do that…oh nooooo no no!!
I’ve rolled over about 100 times now…and I keep waking up in the same bad (man-made) dream!
