What I always thought was scary was the “Citizen Corps” volunteer program created in the wake of 911 as part of Homeland Security, since it gave nibby people with overactive imaginations an excuse to monitor their neighbors as suspected terrorists.
I agree 100%. There has been a push for quite awhile now to turn us all into nosy little rats infringing on the personal rights to privacy of our neighbors, co-workers & even strangers on the street. It starts in the schools and I bet in another few years, society will (sadly) think nothing of the constant video-taping, recording and reporting going on. Yuck.
